Dr. Fielding O'Niell
is a New Orleans native and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He has extensive post-graduate training in the field of infectious disease and holds a Masters Degree in Veterinary Microbiology. Dr. O'Niell has special interests in Dermatology & Orthopedics.
Dr. Rebecca Chidester Ripley (part-time) graduated from the University of Florida in 2006. After graduation, she moved to Richmond and started practicing small animal medicine. She is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially enjoys preventive care. Durinmg her time off, she can be found taking photos around the city, running or traveling. She and her husband, Scott, have two cats, DaVinci and Newton.
Jessica Myers joined the team as a Veterinary Assistant in 2013. She graduated from Hanover High School in 2008 and received a college degree as a Veterinary Assistant and Animal Care Specialist from USCI in 2010. She has worked in the veterinary field for six years as an assistant and a groomer. Her personal interests are horseback riding, fishing, singing and cooking. She has a Border Collie who is a K9 Search and Rescue dog and a Golden Retriever.
Rebecca Phoenix, LVT received her undergraduate degree from John Tyler Community College and then pursued her Licensed Veterinary Technician degree from Blue Ridge Community College in 2013. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a veterinary technician in Chester, VA. Rebecca's special interests include client education and surgical assistance.
Jessica Heward, LVT, joined the staff in 2012 as a part-time technician. Originally from Annapolis, MD, she received her BAS in Equine Science from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA. After graduation she moved to Virginia to manage a large equine breeding facility in Goochland. She continued her education and received her degree as a Licensed Veterinary Technician from Blue Ridge Community College in May 2011. Jessica also works full-time at the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center in Richmond. During her spare time she enjoys riding and competing on her black Quarterhorse, King Coal.
